Hello everyone. Welcome back for another episode of the Outdoor Adventure Series Podcast.
Our guest today is Anietra Hamper. Anietra is an award-winning Outdoor Adventure Journalist & Owner of ThreeWordPress.
Anietra began her career as a television news anchor and investigative reporter. She now writes for a variety of publications with a niche in outdoor adventure and fishing around the world.
Anietra brings a unique perspective to travel, fishing, and the outdoors to inspire people to step outside their comfort zone. She enjoys researching & writing. She has two books published and is collaborating on a 3rd bilingual book.
Anietra's work addresses a misconception from people who do not fish that anglers are not concerned about conservation or fish populations. That couldn't be further from the truth.
Anglers are leading the way in using fishing techniques, handling techniques, and equipment that specifically help protect the fish. In recent years there has been an impressive effort by anglers in many countries to protect the species that few are so fortunate to see up close by doing what they enjoy on the water.
When people circle back to tell me that they tried something outside their comfort zone because I inspired them in some way.
There is a quote that I cut out of a magazine years ago that I keep on my refrigerator, "Always be more than you appear and never appear to be more than you are."
This quote was passed down from Horst Kasner (Angela Merkel's father) to Angela Merkel to Bono to Gayle King...to my eyes that see it and heed it every day.
