Our guest today is Paul Sieswerda.
Paul is the Executive Director of Gotham Whale, a 501c3 organization whose mission is the study, education, and advocacy for the marine mammals around NYC.
Paul is the author of Big Whale, Big City, an illustrated children’s book that tells the story of a humpback whale named Jerry, whose journey to New York City parallels the story of humpbacks that are returning to NYC.
The Illustrator for Big Whale, Big City was Joy S. Reidenberg, Ph.D.
The book's cover photo is based on the photography of Artie Raslich.
Paul was also a longtime Curator at both the New England and NY Aquariums. He is also the author ofSharks (Animal Ways), published in 2001.
